Benjamin Carter, MHC-LP
Trauma and Relationship Therapist
If you're feeling disconnected from your partner or from the person you want to be, you're not alone.
Benjamin helps individuals and couples repair trust, soften shame, and connect with vulnerability, confidence, and emotional safety.
Benjamin’s Approach:
Benjamin draws from Emotion-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and AEDP, tailoring each session to your unique needs. His work is grounded in attachment, helping deepen intimacy, improve communication, and soften conflict. He brings an anti-racist, LGBTQ+ and trans-affirming lens, integrating identity, culture, and spirituality to create a space of true belonging and acceptance
What to Expect in sessions:
Benjamin brings deep presence, gentle challenge, and thoughtful warmth to each session, helping clients reconnect with their values and release what no longer serves them. He believes in people’s inherent resilience and uses therapy to help them access the strength already within, often with just enough humor to keep the work grounded and real.
Cultural Background:
Coming from a family of multiple faith backgrounds, Benjamin understands the complexity of navigating intersecting identities, values, and beliefs. He brings this curiosity into his work, creating space for clients to question, rebuild, and find meaning across all parts of their experience. With a background in art and a family history of small business ownership, he also supports those working to align passion with purpose.
